Hon Zainab Kama Brima, Member of Parliament representing Constituency 010, Kailahun district, has canvassed her constituents to register for development, and to re-elect President Julius Maada Bio in the upcoming 24 June 2023 general elections.

Hon Brima said President Bio has implemented a lot of development  activities including education, infrastructure, electricity, health amongst others, so reelecting will see the continuity of those developments.

Hon Brima made these remarks at her constituency when she was sensitizing them to register and desist from all malpractices that will deter them from registering.

She said as MPs, it is their responsibility to sensitize their people to register, noting that the registration is very important to her constituents and the country at large, and that is why she is on ground to encourage them to go and register for the betterment of Sierra Leone and the future of her children.

The outstanding MP of Kailahun district warned those people that using the registration to campaign which she said is against PPRC rules. She added that time for campaign has not been declared, but said it is good to encourage people to register. She reminded that the PPRC has warned politicians not to use the registration to campaign, adding that they should wait for the most appropriate time for the campaign, and for now, their focus should be on encouraging voters to register.

She said if anyone wants to unseat any MP, they should wait for the time because there is time for everything.

She told them how she has been going from town to town to encourage voters to register, which is most important for now, for the good of the Constituency and not for individual interest.

Hon Brima described the Kailahun district SLPP Chairman as the best chairman, noting that he has brought drastic changes in the district compared to other districts.

She said the district is looking for women that have proven themselves in developing their constituency.

The MP asserted that she was awarded the SLPP symbol based on her developmental activities in the Constituency. She added that she and husband have been involving in developments and they will continue to their best. She said as a woman, she believes that she is the best, thus the party did not make any mistake to give her the symbol to represent her people.
