By Sigismond Nicol

The 30th anniversary all started well at Police Field with a Gala. The kick off was taken by Rev Abraham F. Turay, National Overseer, Harvest Intercontinental Ministries Sierra Leone and Rev. Jonathan Cobna-Davies the Chairman of the 30th Anniversary Committee.

These Servants of God have been relentless in seeing the success of Harvest Intercontinental Ministries formally Bethel World Outreach Ministries International.

It all started well between Freetown East Zone who were in the red and white jersey vs Freetown Rural Zone who were in dominant yellow and black jersey. In the early first half of play (20 minutes to be precise) Freetown Rural got the opener from Foday. S. Conteh; then Freetown East Zone were totally playing out of position only when an error from the defense and the goalkeeper led to a corner Freetown East Zone got the leveler in with Abdul.

After the recess Freetown East Zone seemed to be more composed than their opponents who are Freetown Rural. So an early opportunity came for Freetown East Zone by the name of Alex Sesay and he wasted no time to convert it at the back of the net. So it all ended 2-1 in favor of Freetown East Zone.

The second match was Central Zone vs Freetown West.

Both teams were well uniform as Central Team was putting on their normal attire navy blue jersey and the Freetown West Team was putting on the church attire mauve and yellow stripes.

The opener was scored in the first half of proceeding about 17 minutes   by Abdul Koroma from Freetown West with a brilliant finished. The second half also started in favor of Central who were trailing behind by a goal to nil. Central Zone got an equalizer by Emile Kamara who wore the 10 jersey.

It all ended 1-1.

They went to post match penalty kicks. The goalkeepers were then the hope for both sides. Freetown West missed their first and last penalty kicks and Central Zone were fortunate to carry the day by scoring all but the first kick.

The grand final for the trophy will be played on Saturday 15th October 2022 between Freetown East Zone and Central Zone

The most talk about Comic Match will be between The NATIONAL LEADERS and the PASTORS. The Leaders have a very well composed and anointed team that will be led by Bishop Laggah, Rev. Abraham Turay, Rev. Remi Pratt, Rev. Jonathan Peter Marsh and the likes.
