The Deeper Life Campus Fellowship of Sierra Leone on Thursday, 13th October, 2022 launched a national debate competition and a symposium. The debate and symposium are part of activities for the Deeper Life Campus Fellowship National Congress.
The Congress, which is themed “soaring unto the highest height” will start from the 27th and ends on the 30th October, 2022 at the EJ Strasser-King Hall, Fourah Bay College, Freetown.
The debate will be on the topic: “It is Easier to Succeed with Natural Talent than with Acquired Skills” while the symposium will focus on “Not all University Graduates get Jobs in their Area of Studies.”
Launching the Debate and the symposium, the Regional Campus Coordinator, Anthony Mansaray encouraged students of tertiary institutions across the country who are interested in the debating competition to send in their names and details through the Deeper Life Bible Church Sierra Leone official Facebook page or to any Deeper Life Church branch across the country. He pointed out that, they would want the students to start early preparation before the day of the debate.
Media Coordinator, Deeper Life Bible Church, Francis Ndanema urged all university students, and those who are enrolling to tertiary institutions this year to attend the Congress and learn about the causes, effects and the way forward on the symposium topic. Francis said the symposium will discuss the coping mechanisms one should implement in case you graduate and find it difficult to get a job in your field of studies. The symposium and other motivational activities, he said would make the congress very impactful.
The Women Coordinator, Deeper Life Campus Fellowship, Sister Belinda Ndanema said the congress will also have counselling sessions for university students in their areas of study and several interactive motivational activities which will prepare the participants both for heaven and successes in their earthly endeavors. The congress, she said would be residential, with free registration, feeding and accommodation, pointing out that vehicles would be available to transport tertiary students from the regions to Fourah Bay College in Freetown on the 27th of October, 2022.
