Potafa 2022 which is proudly sponsored by Honourable Chernor Maju Bah and Ahmed Gento Kamara has finally reached its grand final stage slated for 30th October 2022.

35 teams were battling for the giant trophy but the stage is all set for two lucky sides.

The 1 semi-final which was on one leg basis all started on Saturday when Play 4 God vs Congo valley.

It was  really interesting as both teams are debutant at Potafa competition and indeed the two teams played an excellent football, a match with high goal margin of Congo Valley took an early lead by Emmanuel Sesay but Play 4 God were able enough to respond early with a stunning free kick from Bajo he got the equalizer there.

Galaxy of premier league players on their side for Play 4 God like Carpet, Mo, Maradona and Kobor Kobor where Congo valley are formidable side who are yet to make their mark in the rank of Sierra Leone Football, they have been playing together for a while but with the availability of Desmond Wellington better known as Kobor Kobor the runner up for the just concluded Sierra Leone Premier league golden boot with 14 goals he bagged, with his brace they were able enough to endured all the pressure so it ended Play 4 God 5-4 Congo Valley.

One Sunday 16 October 2022, on semi final day two between denied Crips vs Johntonia one time defending champions of the competition; Crips got an opener by Abu Mansaray (goal mot) later Yobo extend the lead with a defensive blunder from John Stones and John Bilili gave the debutant a hope of progressing to the final.

Abdul Aziz Jalloh (junior boy) who is leading for the golden boot converted a free kick at the back of the net but it wasn’t enough for Johntonia who were suffering behind by 2-1

It all ended in favor of Crips 2-1 Johntonia.

The match was peaceful.

The final will play between Crips and Play 4 God. Both teams are debutants, where fans and sports enthusiasts will be looking for the best in sportsmanship behavior from the two finalists.
