With the first game of the 2022/23 Premier League season beginning today, Friday, 9 December 2022, Real Republicans FC is preparing for their long-awaited return to the top flight with an away trip to Bo City stadium, the home of Bo Rangers FC.
With this year’s theme “Football for Peace and National Cohesion” the Soccer Ambassadors will travel all the way to the Southern Region of Bo Town where the 2022-2023 Premier League will officially kick off.
Defending Champions Bo Rangers will be looking forward to securing their first victory at home and sending a strong message to the rest of the teams, while promoted Real Republicans after 13 years absence in top flight league, will demonstrate that they belong to the premier league.
Foday Mansaray, the Team Manager of Real Republicans said the three times premier league champions are aware of the quality players their opponents are having and also their current form. “We respect our opponent and we know what they are capable of doing, but we remain confident and focus ahead of the match,” he said.
“The technical team and the players are all determined for this match which will serve as a big test for us in our return to the premier league. We’re determined not only for this opening encounter but also to send a strong message to the rest of the teams in the premier league. The Chairman’s Real Republicans Alhaji Umaru Bah, who is also the Team Manager of Leone Stars B continued, “We encourage our boys to go and make us proud and they’ll be compensated. I wish them good luck,” he stated.
