A large turnout of the athletics family gathered in full force at the Sea Bird, Murray Town, to warmly welcome their fellow athletes returning from the All-African Games in Accra, Ghana.
They jubilated over the impressive performance of their athletes during the games, with special praise and thanks directed towards Georgiana Sesay for her outstanding achievements in both the 400m semi-final heat and final, as well as in the 200m events. The crowd also applauded the other athletes for their commendable efforts.
There is a strong confidence within the community that, with dedication and perseverance, they will secure medals in the next All African Games and even shine at the forthcoming Olympic Games.
