Abdul Bangura, a rising star from Sierra Leone, made headlines in Latvia on October 5th, 2024, by becoming the first player from his country to score a hat-trick in a single match in Latvia. The young footballer, who plays for Skanstes SK in the First Division, put on an impressive display during his team’s 7-0 victory over FC TUKUMS 2000/Tssil, earning him the prestigious title of Man of the Match.
Prior to his move to Latvia, Bangura, affectionately nicknamed “Arshavin,” had finished as the second-highest goal scorer in last season’s Leone Rock Premier League with 13 goals for Wusum Stars. His outstanding performance caught the eye of the CEO of K&K Academy, who recently recruited him during their trials.
