In a significant move that has set a new benchmark in Sierra Leone’s sporting landscape, Babadi Kamara, the Executive Chairman of BO Rangers FC, has announced a whopping Two Hundred Million Old Leones (Le200,000,000) as the Grand Prize for the 23rd edition of the Clozet Creation Football Tournament. The event, held at the Lungi Central Field, was graced by the presence of the Paramount Chief of Hon. PC Bai Shebora Sheba Gbereh III of Kaffu Bullom Chiefdom.
Addressing the gathering, Babadi Kamara expressed his commitment to promoting football development across Sierra Leone. “This is an opportunity to meet with the Paramount Chief, and I am here to honor the invitation of the Clozet Creation Organizers. My objective is to see football played in the four corners of Sierra Leone,” he said.
Initially, the Grand Prize was set at One Hundred Million Leones (Le100,000,000), but Babadi Kamara’s generosity saw him double the amount, underscoring his unwavering support for grassroots football.
The Paramount Chief, Hon. PC Bai Shebora Sheba Gbereh III, expressed his gratitude to Babadi Kamara for his valuable contribution to the sport. “I thank Babadi Kamara for adding value to football and bringing unity among the Football Family,” the Chief said.
