PC Bailal N’soila III finally returns to Malal Chiefdom as he prepares his rule as Paramount Chief of that Chiefdom, in the Northern District of Tonkolili.
The agriculturalist was elected Paramount Chief of Malal on the 28th of October 2024 after defeating seven candidates after two rounds of voting. Immediately after the election, he was escorted out of the Chiefdom by security officers to an unknown location where he was orientated on the rules of the Chieftaincy by the National Council of Paramount Chiefs under the supervision of the Local Government Ministry.
After weeks of intensive orientation, the Paramount Chief was finally returned to the Chiefdom on the 29th of November, 2024.
Known for his popularity among his people, the Paramount Chief was cheerfully received by a mammoth of Malal residents. His return to the chiefdom was marked with singing and dancing as the Paramount Chiefdom gathered in the chiefdom headquarter town of Rochen Malal to welcome not only a new Paramount Chief but also new leadership that will decide on the future of Malal.
During his speech, PC Bailal N’soila III thanked the tribal authorities for believing in his leadership and vision for a prosperous Malal. With his leadership, the Paramount Chief said Malal will prosper in every aspect and call on residents to join him in achieving his goals, because, he said, he alone cannot move the Chiefdom forward, but the collective responsibility and effort of everyone.
Peace and forgiveness, PC Bailal said, are his first priorities, and he said he will ensure he achieves those goals.
The National Council of Paramount Chiefs representatives called on Malal residents to support and work with the new Paramount Chief for sustainable development and prosperity.
