Banious Bangura has firmly established himself as a key player for Freetonian SLIFA, where he currently serves as the team’s captain. He started his football journey with non-division clubs; Bangura exhibited his talent while playing for teams Same Face, Western Eagles FC, and Portuguese FC. His hard work and dedication paid off when he joined Freetonian SLIFA after they clinched the 2020-2021 Division 1 championship.
Years ago, in pursuit of furthering his career, Bangura traveled to Tanzania, where he did a trial for a Premier League team, Coastal Union FC. He later moved to Cameroon with a football clinic, Krimi FC, before rejoining Freetonian SLIFA, where he now serves as the team’s skipper.
Due to his experience, Bangura is playing a pivotal role in the defensive midfield area, and he has been doing well in the ongoing league, the Rock Premier League, where he recently scored against Kamboi Eagles.
Bangura’s aspirations extend beyond his current success, as he hopes to play in the English top league with Everton FC to complement his efforts as a footballer. Furthermore, he would be thrilled to represent SIMBA S.C., a top football club in Tanzania, as he continues his journey to reach new heights in the sport.
