Newcomer Alpha Kabia made his debut for Minnesota 2, the affiliate team of the Major League Soccer club Minnesota United FC, in a 3-2 defeat against St. Louis City.
Prior to his move to the United States, Kabia had established himself as a rising star in his home country of Sierra Leone, playing for the renowned East End Lions club in the Leone Rock Premier League. His impressive performances caught the eye of Minnesota United’s scouting team, who secured his services on a professional contract.
Despite the narrow loss, Kabia’s debut was a promising one, as the young midfielder showcased his technical abilities and work rate throughout the match. He was involved in several key moments, including creating chances for his teammates and putting in a solid defensive shift.
He stepped onto the pitch with confidence and immediately made an impact. We’re excited to see him continue to develop and integrate into our system.
As Minnesota 2 looks to build momentum in the season, the addition of Kabia will undoubtedly bolster their midfield and provide a spark of creativity and energy. The Sierra Leonean talent continues to adapt and excel.
