Two businessmen, Musa “Seaport” Kamara and John Manso Serro Sesay, have appeared before Magistrate Fornah at Pademba Road Court No. 2, facing allegations of defrauding a complainant of $32,000 through a fake Brazilian visa scheme.
The accused face three charges: conspiracy to defraud, obtaining money by false pretenses, and possession of another person’s passport for unlawful purposes. According to the prosecution, the men collected the money between November 1 and 30, 2024, after falsely promising to secure visas. Kamara was later arrested in Ghana with eight Sierra Leonean passports believed to be connected to unlawful activities.
Detective Constable K.K. Thoronka told the court that the complainant provided photographs, documents, and a formal agreement supporting the claim. Caution statements from both accused were also submitted as evidence.
The case has been adjourned to November 21, 2025, with bail continuing for Sesay.
