Larry Sawyer, CEO of the Larry Football Academy, presented a new set of football equipment to the academy.
The presentation, which was attended by Head Coach Joe, Coach Ibrahim Sillah, and the academy’s management team, included a wide range of essential gear such as balls, jerseys, socks, boots, and training bibs.
Sawyer emphasised that the project goes beyond just the sport of football. The academy provides vocational training in various skills, including electricity, tailoring, and Gara tie-dyeing, ensuring that those who do not pursue a professional football career will have alternative livelihoods to fall back on.
“The project has been running for 2–3 years, and in the future, I want the boys to be more marketable—not only in football but also in education and skills,” Sawyer said.
Coach Ibrahim Sillah, a licensed A coach and coach instructor, urged the players to make the most of the opportunity and to consider football as a viable career path. “Respect your coaches, your parents, and yourselves as players,” he said, emphasising the importance of discipline and dedication.
